I am only partially on this ship. I really love Luna, and so I want the best for her. I almost think that Harry and Luna would be a really awesome couple. I don't think the relationship would be based on pity as so many other shippers claim. He does feel sorry for her right now, but if he were to seriously spend some time with her, he would see that she neither wants nor needs his pity, and he would start to see her oddities as the strengths they are. They share a bond already through their common experiences. It has the potential to be a powerful and beautiful relationship.
However, Luna has this attraction to ROn. And it is very cute. She seems to see him despite his being in the shadows of his two best friends. The fact that she lives by him could attribute to this, because she could have been aquainted with him before he became Harry's best friend.
JKR seems to pair them up as well, and she could help Ron's best qualities come out, as her qualities compliment his. They are true opposites, and her support of him could help him to blossom out, while his strong opinions could ground her more wacky beliefs.
